Over 25 years ago, I chose the International and European Economic Studies (DEOS) bachelor at AUEB, drawn by its strong reputation. I was seeking a hands-on education that would prepare me for real-world challenges — and in hindsight, DEOS exceeded expectations.

The program didn’t just teach me economics — it taught me how to think like an economist: analytically, strategically, and globally. Upon graduating from DEOS, I was thoroughly academically prepared to pursue my master’s degree at the University of Essex.

For anyone considering a career in economics or related fields, I wholeheartedly recommend the DEOS bachelor program. It serves as a solid platform for diverse professional paths. It laid the groundwork for much of what I’ve achieved and It continues to shape the way I think and work to this day.

Currently, I am active in the venture capital ecosystem, working as an Investment Officer at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. I support innovative early-stage companies across Europe and beyond, primarily in the deep tech and life science sectors, through venture debt financing solutions.
