Collaborations with the "DIAZOMA" Association and the Athens School of Fine Arts

Two major collaborations are inaugurated in the framework of the Athens University of Economics and Business Teacher Education Program with the "DIAZOMA" Association and the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASTM) in March 2018.

The first one concerns the scientific cooperation with the "DIAZOMA" Association. The aim of this collaboration is to jointly support voluntary educational actions in the field of holistic cultural management of monuments for their sustainable development and exploitation in education.

The second one concerns the scientific collaboration with the Athens School of Fine Arts, with the main aim of connecting art with education. This is the core of voluntary educational activities, which can be developed in collaboration with public schools and the presentation of art exhibitions with educational themes.

The common ambition, which comes from the collaboration of the AUEB's Teacher Education Program with the DIAZOMA Association, is to provide students with an incentive to engage in monument care and design issues by acquiring theoretical and practical experience through volunteering and participating in cultural management seminars on contemporary issues of cultural heritage management (case studies).

One of the first steps of the collaboration is the organization of the Scientific Conference on Friday, March 16, 2018 on "Monuments at the Center of Life, Sustainability and Sustainable Development", where executives and associates of the "DIAZOMA" Association will discuss with the students of the Teacher Education Program.
