Andrianos E. Tsekrekos

Andrianos E. Tsekrekos is Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting & Finance of the Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB). From September 2006 to December 2010 he has been Lecturer of Finance at the same Department. Before joining AUEB, Andrianos has worked at Lancaster University and Durham Business School. He holds a degree in Operational Research & Marketing from AUEB, an M.Sc. in Finance from Lancaster University and a Ph.D. in Accounting & Finance from the same University.

His research interests are in derivatives pricing, real options valuation, numerical methods, stochastic and implied volatility models, incomplete markets and real estate economics. His work has been published in academic journals, such as the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Asymmetries, Applied Financial Economics, in edited volumes and in practitioner-oriented books. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and the author of educational handbooks in Real Estate Finance and Financial Decision Theory.

Konstantinos Drakos

Konstantinos Drakos is Professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance. Before that he was Assistant Professor (January 2009 - October 2012). Prior to joining AUEB he has also been employed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Patras (2003-2008) and as Lecturer at the Department of Economics of the University of Essex (2001-2002). After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Athens (Department of Economics), he was awarded a full scholarship by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and completed an MSc and a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Essex.

His research interests cover the fields of Applied Financial Economics and the Economics of Security. His current teaching responsibilities are Macroeconomic Theory, Finance for Banking, Finance for Insurance Organizations (undergraduate), and Quantitative Methods, Risk Management (postgraduate).

Athanasios Sakkas

Athanasios Sakkas is Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). His field of expertise is finance. Before joining AUEB, he has served as an Assistant Professor in Finance at the University of Nottingham and Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom (UK). He is also a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the UK. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, an MSc in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus, and an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. His research interests lie in the areas of empirical asset pricing and investments. His research work has been presented in several international academic conferences as well as professional organizations and hedge funds. His research has received grant from Amundi Asset Management and award from the INQUIRE UK and the Southern Finance Association (USA). His work has been published in international peer-reviewed academic journals such as, among others, the Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Financial Markets,  European Financial Management, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, European Journal of Finance,  International Journal of Finance & Economics and Economics Letters.
