The Department of Accounting and Finance is a leading academic unit in its field and, since its establishment in 1999, has been guided by the principles of excellence, meritocracy and outward-looking engagement—core values of the Athens University of Economics and Business.

In the same spirit, the Department’s Postgraduate Programme has been carefully designed. Our objective is to provide students with rigorous academic and professional training through continuously updated curricula and strong engagement with the labour market. Our ambition is to develop graduates who will go on to become highly sought-after professionals, successful entrepreneurs or accomplished academics, both in Greece and internationally.

A pivotal role in achieving these aims is played by the Department’s academic staff, which comprises professors with outstanding academic credentials and a strong presence in the international research community. The Programme’s infrastructure is among the most advanced in Greece, featuring laboratories that provide students with access to major international databases covering the full spectrum of Accounting, Finance and Economics.
