Euro 2025 Conference Presentation

The ORDES team, within the framework of the HybOpt project, participated in the EURO 2025 conference, held in Leeds, UK.
EURO is one of the most important international conferences in operations research, and the participation aimed to present the work:

"Toulis K., Zachariadis E. (2025). A hybrid matheuristic optimization framework for the Family Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem."

The work focuses on the optimization of a modern vehicle routing problem in which customers are grouped into families with specific characteristics.
The problem involves both the efficient selection of customers to be served within each family and the optimization of vehicle routes with the objective of cost minimization.
One of the applications of the problem lies in planning routes for the collection of products from shelves in large warehouses in order to complete customer orders.

Presenting at such a highly regarded conference showcases the quality of the research conducted and the significance of the results produced.
