Soderquist Klas Eric
Professor
Klas Eric Soderquist is Professor of Innovation and Knowledge Management at the Department of Management Science and Technology (DMST) of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Greece. He is Director of the MBA International Program of AUEB. He has previously been on the faculty of Grenoble Ecole de Management, France, and has also taught for one academic year in the UAE. He holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Henley Brunel University, and a BSc-MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
His research and teaching interests are in the areas of Innovation and R&D Management, Knowledge Management, Organizational Change and Development, Operations Strategy and Entrepreneurship. He has published in the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Long Range Planning, R&D Management, the Journal of Small Business Management, Business Horizons and OMEGA, among others. He is a member of AUEB’s Management Science Laboratory (MSL), where he is also heading the Innovation and Knowledge Management Unit.
Dr. Soderquist has acted as a consultant to various companies in the manufacturing and service industries, to the European Union on issues in innovation policy and management, to UNIDO on issues related to technology transfer and strategic alliances, and to the Swedish Office of Science and Technology in Paris.
Fragkos Christos
PhD student
Mr. Christos Fragkos is a Doctoral Candidate in Innovation and Knowledge Management Unit (InnKnow) of MLS at Athens University of Economics and Business, under the supervision of Professor Klas Eric Soderquist. He holds a MSc in Information Systems from Athens University of Economics and Business and a BSc in Informatics from Technological Educational Institute of Athens.
During his postgraduate studies, as a reward of excellence, he has received scholarships from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and from Athens University of Economics and Business.
From 2006 he serves as a teacher of Computer Science in high and primary public schools.
His scientific interests apply in the field of Innovation and Information Systems in Healthcare.
Makris Dimitrios
PhD student
Mr. Dimitrios Makris is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Management Science and Technology at AUEB, MSL InnKnow Unit, researching Innovation Praxis, Organization, Processes, and Culture under the supervision of Professor Eric Soderquist. He has studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science where he earned his B.Sc. (Hons) in Philosophy and Economics (1999) as well as his M.Sc. in Management (2004). He also holds an M.P.S. from the Interactive Telecommunications Program of New York University (2010).
His work experience includes Marketing Management for Unilever and Campaign Management. Dimitris Makris is a faculty member at Deree - the American College of Greece where he teaches in the International Honors Program since 2015. He is an official examiner of the International Baccalaureate Organization (ΙΒΟ) and teaches IB Business Management and IB Economics. In June 2021 he was ranked at the top-5 educators nationally out of 280 participants in the British Council Coding for Sustainability competition and has repeatedly been at the top-3 nationally in the science-communication Famelab competition. His research interests revolve around the praxis of innovation, shedding light on the fuzzy, messy, and often uncomfortable process of innovation-generation.
