Summer Institute: Digital Humanities for Hellenic Studies – Working with Text, 25 - 28 June 2024

For the second time, the UNESCO Chair in Digital Methods for the Humanities and Social Sciences and the MSc in Digital Methods for the Humanities at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), in collaboration with the Center for Digital Humanities and the Center for Hellenic Studies at Princeton University, and the European Digital Infrastructure for Arts and Humanities (DARIAH-EU), co-organized the Summer Institute in Digital Humanities for Hellenic Studies, hosted at the Princeton Athens Center for Research and Hellenic Studies.

The program took place from June 25 to June 28, 2024, and focused on computational approaches to textual analysis in Hellenic Studies. Participants explored digital humanities tools and methodologies for analyzing Greek textual culture from antiquity to the present, gaining valuable hands-on experience in working with texts.

The Summer Institute was open to graduate students, early-career researchers, and others interested in incorporating digital humanities methods into their study of Hellenic literary sources.
