Quality Policy for the Development and Continuous Improvement of the MSc in Innovation, Technology and Culture / Department of Management Science and Technology / Athens University of Economics and Business

The quality assurance policy of the MSc in Innovation, Technology and Culture at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is fully aligned with the quality assurance policy of the Department of Management Science and Technology, as well as with the overall quality policy of AUEB. This policy focuses on the continuous improvement of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, as well as the enhancement of the University’s educational, research, and administrative activities.

The program’s quality policy is communicated and disseminated to all stakeholders, ensuring that academic and administrative staff, as well as students, actively contribute to quality assurance according to their respective roles and responsibilities.

The MSc program is committed to implementing a quality policy that supports its academic identity and strategic orientation, promotes its objectives and thematic areas, and establishes, monitors, and evaluates quality goals. It defines the necessary tools, actions, and procedures for achieving these goals and applies appropriate internal and external quality assurance processes with the ultimate aim of continuous improvement.

More specifically, the implementation of the quality policy of the MSc in Innovation, Technology and Culture involves the application of procedures that ensure:

  • the appropriateness of the structure and organization of the postgraduate program,

  • the continuous development and improvement of the existing curriculum and the creation of new academic initiatives in line with the program’s strategy,

  • the achievement of learning outcomes and qualifications consistent with the European and National Qualifications Frameworks for Higher Education,

  • the promotion of the quality and effectiveness of teaching,

  • the enhancement of both the quality and quantity of the research output of the academic unit,

  • the suitability and academic qualifications of the teaching staff,

  • the integration of teaching and research while incorporating the needs of the labor market,

  • the development, implementation, and monitoring of annual quality objectives for the improvement of the MSc program,

  • the relevance and demand of graduates’ qualifications in the labor market,

  • the provision of high-quality and digitally supported services to students,

  • the implementation of the annual internal evaluation process within the framework of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), in collaboration with the Department’s Internal Evaluation Group (OMEA) and the University’s Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP).
