Agoraki Maria-Eleni

Dr. Maria-Eleni K. Agoraki graduated from the Department of Accounting and Finance, Athens University of Economics and Business in 2004. She holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc degree in Accounting and Finance from Manchester Business School, UK. Her research interests include various areas of finance and banking. She has published her work in peer-reviewed international journals such as the Journal of Financial Stability, International Journal of Finance and Economics and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, while she has presented her research work at high quality international conferences. She has served as member of scientific committees of various international conferences on finance and banking and she is the guest editor of s special issue of Economic Modelling. She is teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Peloponnese and Athens University of Economics and Business.

Androutsopoulos Konstantinos

Konstantinos Androutsopoulos is Lecturer of Management Science at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds B.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Athens; M.Sc. in Statistics and Operational Research from University of Essex, UK; and Ph.D. in Management Science from AUEB. His research interests include: Management Science and Operations Research methods in Logistics Planning, Emergency Response Logistics, Hazardous Materials Transportation, Air Transportation Management, Flexible Transport Systems. His work has been published in highly ranked academic journals of Transportation, Management Science and Operational Research. He has been a principal investigator for various R&D projects funded by the European Commission and the Greek Government.

Berketis Nicholas

Nicholas G. Berketis is Manager of J. Kouroutis & Co. Ltd. Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, Piraeus, Greece and Visiting Lecturer at Frederick University, Cyprus. He has PhD in Actuarial Science and MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance from Sir John Cass Business School, The City University, London, UK, and BSc in Economics with Distinction from the University of Athens. He is member of the Economic Chamber of Greece, the Piraeus’ Professionals Chamber and the US Propeller Club, port of Piraeus. His research area is Marine Insurance with emphasis in areas of Piracy, Fishing Vessels, Ferries, etc. This research has been presented in professional and academic conferences and published in journals and the press.
