PVBLIC Foundation’s Partnerships Day, held on 22 September at the United Nations Headquarters SDG Media Zone during the 80th UN General Assembly and Climate Week, featured a session titled “Rewiring Education: Building a New Operating System for Global Learning.” The discussion was moderated by Amanda Slavin and included distinguished contributions from Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Dr. Alison Bryant, and Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah.
In her speech, Professor Phoebe Koundouri highlighted the new partnership between the PVBLIC Foundation and a Cambridge University–based initiative dedicated to transformational interdisciplinary research focused on Prosperity, Social Inclusion, and Environmental Sustainability.
Professor Koundouri also addressed the future of education and skills, emphasizing the profound impact of artificial intelligence on skills development. She underscored the importance of innovative approaches that foster adaptability, inclusion, and resilience in education systems. During her presentation, she introduced the AE4RIA – Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria AI Tools, which are designed to bridge policy, education, and sustainability:

AE4RIA SDG Tracker – Enables users to upload any English-language PDF and instantly view its alignment with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals

AE4RIA AI Skills Tool – Allows users to upload English HTML documents and identify relevant skills, occupations, courses, and SDGs, effectively transforming policy texts into actionable workforce insights
The event concluded with a VIP Reception co-hosted with the World Food Programme, which showcased innovative partnerships that leverage private sector capital, data, and technology to strengthen resilient food systems worldwide.
Professor Phoebe Koundouri spoke at the International Event “Food for Peace”, a side event to the United Nations General Assembly and Climate Week NYC, co-hosted by Isabel Arens (Germany) and Abdul Khurram (Pakistan).
In her address, Professor Koundouri emphasized the critical role of systemic modeling in policy design and the urgent need to transform global food systems through integrated solutions that respect planetary boundaries while promoting resilience, equity, and human well-being.
She also highlighted the work of AE4RIA – Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria, and its leadership of FABLE Greece within the global FABLE Consortium. This work advances sustainable development pathways, agri-food system transformation, and biodiversity conservation. The FABLE Calculator supports these efforts by modeling national food and land-use scenarios aligned with global sustainability targets.
