Irene Zografou earned her PhD from the department of Marketing of Communication of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and holds both an international MBA from the department of Management Science and Technology of the same university (AUEB), and an MSc from the department of Business Administration of the University of the Aegean. She has many years of professional experience both domestically and abroad in training, project management, and customer service. She has been awarded for her professionalism and overall work performance by the Emirates Group (Dubai, United Arab Emirates), where she used to work. Her work experience has driven her to pursue a career in academia and explore new avenues for understanding the contribution of HRM and employer branding in improving business results. Therefore, her research work revolves around strategic HRM, employer branding and organizational performance. Her work has also been presented in competitive international conferences, including the European Academy of Management and the Cranet Conference. Irene has also served as a teaching assistant in HRM and Entrepreneurship courses, where she assisted in the development of teaching material for bachelor’s courses, and in marking assignments. In addition, she has been involved in designing and co-teaching e-learning material for courses related to management in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Finally, Irene serves as communications officer in the OB SIG at the European Academy of Management.
