BRIDGE-BS project: Achievements of one year!

Already one year into the H2020 BRIDGE-BS project, seeking to tackle multi-stressors of marine ecosystems in the Black Sea while fostering a sustainable blue economy.

Despite the recent challenges facing in the region, this first year was still a success with the implementation of:

✔ 5 Living Lab in 4 countries,

✔ 132 stakeholders participating in 8 workshops,

✔ a task coordinated by AUEB in close collaboration with country leaders.

The Virtual Blue Career Center and Black Sea Ocean Literacy Network’s online directory have been recently launched, while 8 new PhDs are actively working on BRIDGE-BS contributing to the development of blue skills for the region.

BRIDGE-BS will hold its first GA at the end of September in Varna (Bulgaria) back to back with the Hich-Tech Summit (27-28/09) where all interested party for blue innovation are invited.  Learn more here

Research Laboratory on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability (ReSEES) at Athens University of Economics and Business  is participating in the BRIDGE-BS H2020 project. Principal Investigator (PI) is Prof. Koundouri and members of the team are: Prof. Nicos TheodossiouAlice Guittard.
