Objective of the course (expected learning outcomes and competences to be acquired)

Upon finishing the course students should know: Data introduction and management in R, execution of basic operations in R, construction and analysis of functions in R, use of R in economic applications.

Prerequisites: None

Course contents: Introduction to R programming language. Basic numerical operations in R. Basic features of the R language:  objects, kinds and types of objects. Elements of advanced programming and commands for loops: for, while, repeat.  Programs in R. Lists of results. Special commands. Graphs. Functions. Applications in quantitative economics.
