Quality Policy

    All Departments of the School of Business of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) implement a quality assurance policy aligned with the Institution’s overall quality assurance framework, aiming at the continuous improvement of their academic programs.

    The Departments’ policy is communicated and disseminated to all stakeholders, so that academic and administrative staff, as well as students, assume responsibility for ensuring quality in accordance with their respective roles.

    The Departments are committed to implementing a quality policy that supports the academic identity and orientation of their programs, promotes their purpose and scope, achieves their strategic objectives, defines the necessary actions and means, and applies the recommended internal and external quality procedures, with the ultimate goal of continuous enhancement.

    Specifically, the implementation of the quality policy by the Departments of the School requires the application of quality assurance procedures that ensure:

    • The adequacy of the structure and organization of the academic programs
    • The pursuit of learning outcomes and qualifications in accordance with the European and National Qualifications Frameworks for Higher Education
    • The promotion of quality and effectiveness in teaching
    • The adequacy of teaching staff qualifications
    • The enhancement of both quality and quantity of the research output of members of each academic unit
    • The integration of teaching with research activities
    • The relevance of graduates’ acquired qualifications to the labor market
    • The quality of support services, including administrative services, libraries, and student welfare services
    • The annual internal evaluation of Undergraduate Programs within the Internal Quality Assurance System, in cooperation with the Departments’ Quality Assurance Units and the Institution’s Internal Evaluation and Quality Assurance Unit.
