The School covers a unit of related disciplines and ensures the interdisciplinary approach, the communication between them and the coordination necessary for their teaching and research. The School supervises and coordinates the operation of the Departments, according to their Studies Regulations. .

The Deanery of the School comprises the heads of the departments of the school, a representative, per category, of the members of the Special Teaching Staff, the members of the Laboratorial Teaching Staff and the members of the Special Technical Laboratorial Staff, defined by direct, secret and universal suffrage among the staff of the categories concerned, as well as representative of the students of the school.

The General Assembly of the School comprises the academic staff members of the school, as well as a representative, per category, of the members of the Special Teaching Staff, the members of the Laboratorial Teaching Staff and the members of the Special Technical Laboratorial Staff, defined by direct, secret and universal suffrage among the staff of the categories concerned.
