11th Agrotechnology Conference | “Towards a Circular EU Agrifood System”

On Friday 17th February, Prof. Phoebe Koundouri  gave a speech at the panel “Towards a Circular EU Agrifood System” at the 11th Congress of Agroteology entitled: “Contemporary Agri-Food Systems in the Circular Economy: Unlocking the future”, which took place at the Porto Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki it was organized the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce with the Agrotechnology Committee.

This year’s topic was focused on food and nutritional safety, as well as circular practices in the primary sector and processing. At the same time, the technology and solutions it offers are an integral part of the event over time.

Prof. Koundouri talked about Agrotechnology features in Global and European Policies and the overall direction to be followed and she highlighted why is it important to have ways to quantify and monetize the performance of the agro sector with regards to its level off sustainability transformation.
