Ημερίδα με την AEGEAN Airlines
As part of the collaboration between the MSc in Management Science and Technology and AEGEAN Airlines, a presentation event showcasing the students’ dissertation projects took place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at AEGEAN’s facilities.
For the second consecutive year, students had the opportunity to work on real AEGEAN data and present the outcomes of their projects before company executives, receiving valuable feedback and practical business insights.
The dissertation projects were developed within the courses “Digital Marketing in Tourism” and “Business Analytics Platforms and Applications.”
In the first course, students designed and implemented comprehensive digital marketing plans based on AEGEAN’s CRM data, focusing on market analysis, the development of strategies for social media, search engines, email marketing and loyalty schemes, as well as the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluating campaign effectiveness.
In the second course, using real operational data related to flights, load factors, sales, pricing rules and promotional activities, students developed analytical tools and business intelligence reports, conducted hierarchical demand forecasts, and performed scenario analyses to assess the impact of pricing and promotional strategies. The results were presented to AEGEAN’s Revenue and Offer Management team, followed by an engaging discussion combining scientific perspectives with practical business recommendations.
After the presentations, participants were given a guided tour of AEGEAN’s new maintenance facilities, technical base, and the Flight Simulator and Crew Training Center—a pioneering project marking a new era in aviation training.
The collaboration between the MSc in Management Science and Technology and AEGEAN Airlines is strengthened each year through the continuous support and active engagement of AEGEAN’s executives, as well as the faculty and administrative staff of the Program.
Special thanks are extended to Ilias Mandroukas (Deputy Chief Commercial Officer, Digital & Marketing), Christina Giannadaki (eCommerce Lead), Despina Dasiou (Digital Performance Lead), Fotini Levogianni (Revenue and Offer Management Director), Thodoris Paraskevas (Revenue Management Lead), Marianna Tzachrista (HR Manager), and Anthi Daskalaki (Learning & Organizational Design Expert) for their invaluable contribution and collaboration.
The event once again highlighted the importance of bridging academic knowledge with business practice, offering students a unique opportunity for learning and professional growth.
