    The MSc in International Shipping, Finance and Management (ISFM) at the Athens University of Economics and Business brings together three complementary disciplines central to the shipping industry: shipping, finance, and management.

    The program has ranked among the top five globally in its field in multiple editions of the Eduniversal rankings. It has also received the highest possible accreditation marks from the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). Graduates benefit from examination exemptions granted by leading professional bodies. Students may also pursue double degrees with EDHEC Business School and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), enriching their international learning experience and broadening their professional perspectives.

    Courses are taught by AUEB faculty and visiting professors from internationally recognised institutions, all of whom have strong research profiles and doctoral qualifications. A Business Advisory Committee of senior shipping executives helps shape the curriculum and supports industry engagement through guest lectures, site visits, and student placements.

    Athens and the broader Attica region offer access to one of the world’s foremost maritime centres. Shipping companies, shipbrokers, financial institutions, classification societies, law firms, and insurers create a rich environment for professional networking and career development. Industry stakeholders also support scholarships and placements in Greece and abroad.

    The majority of our graduates secure relevant employment before or shortly after completing the program, joining an established international alumni network built over more than a decade.
