    This Notice has been composed in compliance with the new European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 to inform you about the processing of your personal data by “ATHENS UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS”.

Any such modifications will be announced on the website of AUEB and of the website of the Department of Statistics. By navigating and using our website, all users declare to have read, understood and unequivocally consented to this Privacy Notice.

    The personal data that you have provided us with are subject to processing from “ATHENS UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS” as controller (contact: tamihou@aueb.gr), exclusively in the context of your dealings with “ATHENS UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS” or for the purpose of navigating our website or for your subscription to our newsletter.     From the data that you provide us with electronically (eg. by navigating our website, by subscribing to our newsletter etc), we store personal data, accessible to our employees and/or partners of “ATHENS UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS”, which relate to your navigation on the website of AUEB (incl. the websites of the Department of Statistics, its undergraduate and postgraduate programs) or the corresponding social media webpages. Please note that “ATHENS UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS” does not and may not influence or control the nature and the extent of personal data that
    are collected and stored by social media webpages as a condition of or resulting from their use and we may not be held liable for the collection and processing of personal data by them. To find out more about the purposes of collecting, processing and using personal data by social media webpages,
    as well as your rights and settings available for the protection of your privacy, please read the data protection policies of the social media webpages that you are using. The collected data will be processed by our employees and/or partners of “ATHENS UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS”.

    The collected data will be transferred to third countries in compliance with the GDPR. 

    Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

    Embedded content from other websites

    Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.).     Who we share your data with: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

    How long we retain your data: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

    What rights you have over your data: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
